Whenever I’m working, there’s rarely a moment I’m not listening to music. Even if I’m the only one at home, I’ll often have headphones on so that I can be completely immersed in whatever harmonic environment I’ve created. If there was some way to pump every note directly into my bloodstream, I probably would.

With The Practical Mind, I wanted to share some of the playlists I’ve created and continue to create with all of you. This cinematic playlist is the first instalment in a series of playlists to help you focus on your work or studies, or even just to help you relax. Many of these songs have seen me through late nights at university or kept me company during a long workday, and I hope that they’re just as impactful for you.

You’ll see these 20-song playlists organized by genre: instrumental, lofi, and electronic.
